PWNAGE WINS Midwest Regional FRC Championships with help of Alliance Teams



PWNAGE FRC Team is Heading to Robotics World Championships



With its second regional competition win in a row, PWNAGE Team #2451, the St. Charles robotics team is headed to the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championships. The latest victory came at the FIRST Midwest Regional competition at the University of Illinois in Chicago on March 31st -  April 2nd, 2016. The team won the regional with their alliance partners Teams #3352 Flaming Monkeys and #1736 Robot Casserole.

The Winning Alliance- "Flaming PWNAGE Casserole"

Along with this win, Mr. Scott Hale was selected and honored with the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award. This prestigious award is presented to an outstanding Mentor in the robotics competition who best leads, inspires, teaches, and empowers their team using excellent communication skills. Scott Hale and his wife Bonnie Hale are team mentors and the owners at Genesis Automation. Together they offer the team their support in every capacity which is invaluable to the team’s success
.

FIRST (First Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) competitions are the varsity Sport for the Mind, they combine the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. PWNAGE robotics is unique because it is a community team made up of students from 10 surrounding Fox Valley and Chicago western suburb High Schools, and home school members.
After two consecutive wins PWNAGE robotics is now preparing for the FRC World Championships where it will face off with roughly 600 hundred domestic and international competitors.
