Recycle Rush: Week Four

With the frame of the competition bot almost complete, the team is putting the finishing touches on the electrical systems. New electrical students are taught the basics during off season and in the beginning of build season so they know enough to contribute to the competition robot. We are getting close to bag and tag on February 17th when we label the robot and put it in a plastic bag--not to be touched again until the first competition.

Programmers have also been doing their fair share. In past years, FRC teams have used a controller called the cRIO. This year, FIRST introduced a new controller called the roboRIO. Because of this, the programmers needed to learn a new tool set and how to program in a new environment. Despite the larger work load, the team is excited for the new controller, as it will work much more efficiently.
