The team had a great time at the live broadcasting of the kickoff event hosted by the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago on January 3rd. Many students were surprised and excited by major changes in game play from previous years. After the game was introduced, the team met back at Genesis Automation to read through the thick packet of rules and begin the strategy phase.
This year’s game differs from past games in numerous ways, so the students scanned the packet looking for major changes in rules. They broke up into groups to read through specific sections of the rules and create posters to show key factors in each section. Afterwards, each group presented on their findings to the rest of the team and cleared up any questions team members may have.
