PWNAGE VEX tournament Champions
Fischer-Still Middle School in Aurora IL hosted the Nothing But Net VEX Tournament on February 20, 2016. Thirty-one teams from across Illinois competed. The tournament was an official Illinois VEX high school / middle school state qualifying event.
PWNAGE Robotic's team had two VEX teams entered in the tournament. PWNAGE Team 2451A and 2451B. Both PWNAGE teams advanced to the semi-final round of competition. Team 2451A did exceptionally well and advanced to the final round where their alliance won the final matches. Team 2451A were awarded Tournament Champions, as well recipients of the Judge’s Award.
The Judge’s Award is presented to a team that demonstrated a
strong combination of ingenuity and innovation in designing their VEX robot.
This award is granted to a team for specific innovative machine features,
that were designed by thinking outside the box, resulting in a unique piece of engineering
which formed an integral part of the design solution ultimately solving complex
problems presented by the VEX Robotics Competition game.

As Tournament champions PWNAGE 2451A is qualified to compete at the Illinois
VEX Middle School Robotics State Championships. This event is for the Middle
School and will be held on March 5, at Rotolo Middle School Batavia, IL., and CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship - VEX MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION in Council Bluffs IA.
The top 3
teams who win at this state tournament will earn the right to represent
IL at
the VEX World Championships. PWNAGE 2451B’s season has ended but they
will continue to support 2451A and be back next year for a run at
bringing home a championship.
